In San Antonio, preparing young people for the future takes more than academic readiness. Celebrate Dyslexia, one of the fellowship organizations, is working to address systemic gaps in how students with dyslexia are identified and supported.

The Texas Education Agency’s 2025 Annual Report reinforces the urgent need for reform—and affirms why Celebrate Dyslexia’s work is critical now.

The event includes a keynote address from State Representative John Lujan, along with a distinguished panel discussion on education, healthcare and social justice topics.

Celebrate Dyslexia is collaborating with Bexar County Juvenile Probation (BCJP) to strengthen the student intake process and ensure youth receive appropriate identification, support, and services.

Developed in partnership with Manatt, the paper provides key insights and actionable policy recommendations to address significant gaps in the availability and accessibility of essential dyslexia services, including screening, testing, and treatment.

Organizers worked with Celebrate Dyslexia to incorporate audiobooks, graphic novels and paired reading so all students can participate in the challenge.
