Celebrate Dyslexia Schools to Open Inaugural Campus in San Antonio, Fall 2024 — making history in providing the first Charter School in the City dedicated to students with dyslexia.

San Antonio, TX – May 10, 2024
Celebrate Dyslexia Schools proudly announces the opening of its groundbreaking educational institution, the first of its kind in San Antonio. With enrollment now open for the Fall 2024 academic year, Celebrate Dyslexia Schools is set to become a hub of innovation, support, and celebration for students with dyslexia. In true ‘celebration’ fashion, the school will open to second grade students with an inaugural campus at The DoSeum.

“We are thrilled to bring Celebrate Dyslexia Schools to life,” said Jasmin Dean, Founder and Executive Director of Celebrate Dyslexia, the nonprofit brainchild behind the new school. “This institution represents a milestone in dyslexia education, offering a nurturing space where students can thrive and celebrate their unique abilities while exploring at The DoSeum, a founding partner of Celebrate Dyslexia.”

The school aims to expand access to quality education for students with dyslexia while serving as an incubator for best practices in the field. Through the integration of structured literacy, social-emotional support systems, technological innovations, and specialized services, Celebrate Dyslexia Schools is poised to redefine dyslexia education.

“We are excited to see models like Celebrate Dyslexia find support; We feel that educators must experiment and explore new forms of teaching in order to inspire young learners to do the same in their learning,” said Dan Menelly, CEO of The DoSeum. “We are particularly focused on the social dimensions of learning, and in guiding children to feel that the process of mastering skills and concepts is an opportunity, not a chore. The DoSeum’s models of learning through play help inspire and engage children, educators and caregivers. We treasure that identity and we are excited to build upon it.”

Enrollment for the Fall 2024 academic year is currently open, and prospective students and their families are invited to visit https://www.celebratedyslexiaschools.org/ to secure their place in this pioneering institution.

“As an educator with over 15 years of experience and the mother of a child with dyslexia, I am honored to lead Celebrate Dyslexia Schools as the Superintendent,” said Flor Gutierrez, Superintendent for Celebrate Dyslexia Schools. “Our commitment to structured literacy, social-emotional support, and technological innovations will set a new standard in dyslexia education. We are not just opening a school; we are creating a community that values and celebrates every student’s potential.”

Celebrate Dyslexia Schools is not just an educational institution; it is a movement to saturate San Antonio with well-trained teachers and students who will go on to become leaders in dyslexia education. By including strategic local, state, and national thought leaders, the school aims to contribute significantly to the community’s body of knowledge and positively impact the lives of students with dyslexia all over the City of San Antonio.
